I'm gonna explode! (From anticipation, not pregnancy!) [06 Dec 2008|12:02am]
There are so many things that are coming up that I'm looking forward to!

Tomorrow we're having our Cheer Party at work. We're raising money for Girls Inc. in Lynn and the girls are going to come in and sing Christmas carols for us. We're also going to have a raffle, face painting and cookie decorating. Oh, and did I mention I get paid for all this?

Sunday is mine and Jesse's first childbirth class. I'm definitely more excited than Jesse is. There are three classes on consecutive Sundays. I hope it goes well and isn't all full of older people. It's weird that I'm far enough along to actually start a childbirth class. 7 months! It doesn't feel it, and I definitely don't look it. There are still customers at work who have no idea I'm even pregnant. And I'm still about 15 pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight. My midwife told me to gain more weight at my last appointment on November 10, but there's not much I can do. Oh, and part of the childbirth class is a tour of the Salem Hospital Birthplace, which I'm very excited for!

Next Saturday is the Holiday Pops at Abbott Hall in Marblehead. Every year someone else and I set up a table in Abbott Hall and serve coffee before the pops. It's fun to see everyone all dressed up and in the Christmas spirit. And, after everyone clears into their seats we get to watch the pops for free! did I mention I also get paid for that?

Then on either Sunday the 21st after childbirth class, or Monday the 22nd I'm going to Connecticut for my long Christmas/New Year's stay. Not sure if Jesse's coming for a view days or not, but I hope so. If everything goes perfectly Jesse would come down with me and take my car back up to Mass before Christmas Eve, then come back down to CT to celebrate New Year's Eve with me. Victoria might come down to CT too for New Year's. I kind of hope she doesn't, but it would be kinda fun. Not many people up in Mass have met my family.

Then Christmas Eve with the Kronberg's. That should be interesting.

Then Christmas with my family.

Then New Year's Eve dinner at The Rustic Oak with hopefully Jesse and my family, like every year!

Then back to Mass and the ole grind.

I signed up for a breastfeeding class on January 12th that I'm forcing Jesse to go with with me. It's not just for expectant mothers but fathers too, so hopefully he'll get SOMETHING out of it. Not sure what, but...

Then back to CT for my baby shower that's on January 17th, and I am SO SO SO psyched for that! I can;t wait to have everyone I love together in one room and a whole celebration for our daughter and her entry into the world!

So many wonderful, exciting things are happening, and soon! I can barely contain myself.

Awesome Weekend. [17 Nov 2008|12:09pm]
Man, I had a such a good weekend.

Friday was my mom's 40th birthday. My mom's best friend since 2nd grade (my Auntie Kelly) called me about 2 weeks ago and told me that she was having a surprise party for my mom at Chili's and asked if Jesse and I could come. I took the time off work and didn't tell anyone I was coming down except for Tricia and Auntie Kelly. Not my brother, step dad, no one.

The day before I called my friend Kaitlyn and swore her to secrecy and invited her. She definitely wanted to go.

Thursday after work Jesse and I drove all over God's green earth to get my tires and oil changed. I ended up having to make an appointment for 10am on Friday morning for the tires.

On Friday morning we got up and headed down to NTB. I called my mom in the waiting room to wish her Happy Birthday. I asked what she was doing for it, and she told me that Auntie Kelly was taking her out to dinner at Chili's and then it was going to be a boring, quiet weekend because she had the whole weekend off from work and Joe and Joey (brother and step-dad) were going to Vermont that night. I told her I'd call her and keep her company via phone. she asked what I was doing cause she heard a weirdo man in the waiting room talking to Jesse ad I told her I was getting new tires, and that I had to work 2-10, but I'd call her periodically on my breaks to bust her chops about being another year older just like I did last year.

After the tires, we went home, packed up some clothes and were out the door by 3. The drive to Connecticut was fine except that I almost got into a car accident merging onto I-91, and it was my fault. But I averted it, and everything was fine.

So, when I got to CT I called Trish to let her know, and I asked her to call Joe and tell him that I was in Wallingford and I wanted to meet up with them before the left for Vermont. Joe told Trish to have me call him in 10 minutes. 15 minutes later I alled him and my brother picked up the phone. He didn't know I was in Wallingford yet, so the conversation went like this.

"Hey, Bud. Everything's good, don't say anything ok. Just tell me, just a yes or no, if Mommy is near you right now. Just yes or No."
"Yes."
"Okay, I'm fine, but please, as soon as Mommy is away from you, have Daddy call me ok."
"Why?"
"Just because."
"Tell me why."
"I'll tell you in a few minutes when Daddy calls me."
"Tell me now."
"No, bud. I'll tell you then. Please."

So, Joe called me back and I asked if he told Joey I was there and he was like, "No, didn't you?" And obviously I didn't. So I met up with them in the parking lot of Fitness 4000, and Joey was really surprised and kinda pissed that I chose to come up the weekend that he wouldn't be around. But whatever, I got to see them for like 10 minutes before they left which was nice.

After that, I had to drive to Meriden to pick up Kait and change into a nicer shirt. At Kait's I called my mom and left her a voicemail. " Hey Mom, it's Tina. I'm just calling you like I said I would. Happy Birthday. I'll call you again at like 9:45, 9:30ish when I get out of work. I love you, Happy Birthday." Then to Nonnie's and Paw-Paw's to get Nonnie and Aunt Sis.

When we got to Chili's there were a bunch of people there. I was excited to see Tricia and everyone else. We all hung out and waited for AK and mom for like 2o minutes until Tricia got the text from AK that read, just the letter "A" which meant they were there. Everyone pushed in front of the door in kind of like a horseshoe shape and Jesse and Kait kept trying to push me into the front, but I didn't want to be, so I just kinda hung back on the left hand side of the horseshoe, behind Trish kind of, but to her right.

So Mom and Auntie Kelly walk in, and everyone yells, "SURPRISE!!" All 26 of us. And she was COMPLETELY surprised! Kait kept trying to push me up to say hi to her, but I wanted her to notice me on her own.

She hugged my Aunt Melissa, Nonnie, Aunt Sis, teared up, scanned behind them, got to Tricia, hugged her, and then she looked to Tricia's right and saw me.

Her reaction was the cutest thing I have ever seen in my entire life and I won't forget it as long as I live. She just kind of dropped her arms to her sides and said, "Tina." And the way she said my name was like the smallest, little girl, completely defenseless little sound I've ever heard. And then she broke down crying. I think this marks the 5th or 6th time I've ever seen her cry. Like... completely broke down.

And then I cried and hugged her, and Tricia cried, and she finished saying hi to everyone and we got our tables. There were 27 of us in all. It was a really good time. I was so glad that she was clueless about it, her reaction to it all was so priceless. And she really had a good time, and so did everyone else. Too bad I hate Chili's and always get something gross. Oh well, Jesse liked his food and has been enjoying my leftovers.

Afterwards, Nonnie wanted to take off slightly early because she "could swear to God it was 11 o' clock at night." Says my 65 year old Grandmother that works the 3-11 shift at a Convalescent Home, at 9 o'clock at night. So I take them home, and on the way to Kait's to pick up my bags that I dropped off there (she left early and we put mine and Jesse's pillows and bags in her house) some douche bag ran a red light at a 4 way intersection and almost slammed into me.

When we got back home AK was there with mom and Trish and we all hung out until we went to bed. It was a really good night.

On Saturday I was lazzzyyyy. Bre (my cousin) wasn't able to come to Mom's dinner because it was her birthday too that day, so she came over on Saturday with Christine and Sean (her niece and nephew). Sean was such a good boy, and it surprised me because he's scared of people, but he walked right up to Jesse and started having a 2 year old conversation about trains and going bye-bye. And even gave Jesse and good bye kiss!

Christine was good too. A little fresh. Everytime you tell her no she thinks you're kidding and just laughs at you. She's 4 now, and thinks she can get away with murder because she's pretty. They left because Christine and Seany were dancing and Christine went to hit the floor like my brother does to try and break dance and she wasn;t paying attention and slammed her face into the corner of the TV stand and split her chin open. She was good though, she only screamed for a second and then she was mesmerized by the blood.

Bre took them home and came back. The night ended in a long debate/argument/discussion about abortion, people we know, parenthood, me, Tricia, Jesse, jobs life etc. It was kind of a mess sometimes.

On Sunday I woke right up, took a shower, got dressed waited for Jesse to wake up and get dressed, went to Nonnie's and Paw-Paw's. Visited for an hour and a half. Got Dunkin' Donuts, brought it home to eat. Went to Uncle Eddy and Melissa's. Melissa had a bunch of stuff for me and Jesse for the baby. She has a crib there for us which is really beautiful, and a bag full of maternity clothes and baby clothes. Unfortunately I'm not in maternity clothes yet, but I'm sure I'll be at some point so they'll come in handy. (Yup, 6 months pregnant and still in my pre-pregnacy jeans!) Then we went home and hung, ate dinner, Joe and Joey were back by then and then we said our goodbyes and took off.

I drove about halfway there, and Jesse finished off. We got back at like 9:30.

When we got home I just cried because Jesse's house is so lonely compared to mine..... makes me so sad. Oh well.

Back to CT at the end of December for Christmas and New Years, and then back in mid January for the baby shower!
